Get started

Choose a place in Settings or allow location access. Set an early and a later wake time, adjust your air and rain thresholds, and enable Smart Alarm. Allow the requested alarm and notification permissions.

Check your alarm

In Settings, check the alarm mechanism status to confirm registration with the system. Before first use, test an alarm a few minutes ahead. RiMo uses AlarmKit on iOS 26 or later. On earlier systems, notification-based alarms depend on Focus, Silent mode and notification settings.

Does RiMo always update overnight?

iOS decides when apps can run in the background, so an overnight recalculation is not guaranteed. Open RiMo before bed, check the displayed plan and keep Background App Refresh enabled. Weather and air data are forecasts and can change.

Missing weather or air data

Check your connection and selected place, then refresh. Providers may be unavailable or limit requests. Open-Meteo supplies modelled data by default; reporting stations and distances are available only for relevant sources.

Do I need an API key?

No key is needed for default Open-Meteo data. WAQI and OpenAQ are optional. Obtain your own credentials from WAQI or OpenAQ, then enter them for the corresponding provider in RiMo Settings. Provider terms and limits apply. Never share your key or send it to support.

Without location permission

Select a place manually in Settings. Its coordinates are still sent to data providers to retrieve local forecasts.

Remove credentials

Clear the provider credential field. Revoke the key in your provider account if it should no longer be used. RiMo itself has no user account to delete.
