2. RiMo and your data

RiMo Alarm is free, without advertising or in-app purchases. No RiMo account is required. RiMo has no developer-operated server and includes no analytics or advertising libraries. The app requests weather and air data directly from external providers, which receive data when handling these requests.

3. Location and place search

With your iOS permission, RiMo can determine your device location. Alternatively, choose a place manually. Its coordinates are stored locally and used for weather and air queries. Place search uses Apple services, receiving search terms and selected places. To resolve a place name, RiMo uses Apple and, as a fallback, WAQI if you have supplied your own token.

Where the GDPR applies, Article 6(1)(b) supports the app functions you request; consent-based location access relies on Article 6(1)(a). You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

4. External services and transmitted data

The app does not transmit an advertising identifier. Providers may retain data under their policies and process it outside your country of residence. detent studios does not control their retention periods or international processing arrangements.

5. Local storage and deletion

Alarm times, settings, saved places, search history, decision history and voluntary feedback are stored on the device. The app and widget share necessary data through a local App Group. RiMo has no cloud sync of its own. Operating-system backups may include local app data.

Personal API keys are preferably stored in the iOS Keychain, with temporary local preferences storage if the Keychain is unavailable. The key is sent to its provider when requesting data. Remove keys in the app before uninstalling and revoke them with the provider if needed: Keychain entries may survive uninstallation. Uninstalling does not delete requests already received by providers or existing system backups.

6. Permissions

Location supports place selection. Notifications support previews, updates and notification-based alarms on older iOS versions. System alarms on iOS 26 or later require AlarmKit permission. You can change these permissions in iOS. The app does not track you across apps for advertising.

7. Email support

If you contact us, we process your email address, message and attachments you choose to send to answer your request. The support mailbox uses Apple iCloud Mail. Do not send API keys or unnecessary location information. Messages are kept only as needed for handling the request, follow-up or legal obligations. Where applicable, the basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b) or (f), for support and troubleshooting.

8. Website and hosting

The public RiMo support and privacy pages use no analytics, advertising services, externally loaded fonts or cookies of their own. Email links open your mail app.

Hosting: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). Cloudflare processes IP addresses, requested URLs and technical connection data to deliver and secure these pages. The basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(f): our legitimate interest in providing reliable, secure information.

Cloudflare bases retention on processing purposes and legal obligations; it does not state one period for all data. We keep no additional access log. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Processing may occur in the United States. Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum governs data protection and provides EU Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant international transfers.

9. Your rights

Where the GDPR applies and its conditions are met, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, object to processing, withdraw consent for the future and complain to a data protection authority. Contact us using the details above. For data in an optional provider account, you may also contact that provider directly.
